Cost of Fuel

Despite the fact Teamsak owns 3 cars between 2 homes we do very little driving. Ahubby commutes by bike to work, Kingsley walks to school and I public transport when needing to go somewhere local. So despite watching the global price of a barrel of oil head higher we hadn't really been affected by the bowser price- until the weekend. Granted it was a public holiday Monday but even I was shocked by the AUD $120 bill to fill the tank of the Mercedes 4 wheel with premium unleaded petrol.

that's what happens when you drive a Toorak Tractor! Stick with the BMW convertible- it will use less fuel!

Yep, trade in the Toorak Tractor for an electric Hyundai Getz. Not Hybrid, electric. You can get them converted in Melbourne. Unfortunately only avail. in the Getz at the moment. Trying to convince Firegazer to get one. You can imagine how that's going...

The fuel costs here is putting Rob's neat little budget in a tailspan. The price he must allocate for gas keeps going up! Almost $1 USD in the past 6 weeks (per gallon)! A 25% increase. When we got married 10 years ago, it was only 99 cents per gallon. On the upside, people are being more conservative with their consumption.

I thought Ahubby was looking to get his 4th car before the luxury car tax goes up 8% on 1 July

Well anonymous (Ahubby?) Maybe the saving on tax could be put toward a luxury for S- small shiny bling?
