Tadpoles to Goldfish to Dolphins

Kingsley has been encouraged to do swim lessons/water familiarisation since a toddler. Long gone are the days of Ahubby or me getting in with her during lessons , singing nursery rhymes and diving through hoops. Kingsley is now a Dolphin having mastered all the skills of each fish/seafood level since Tadpoles. She has been a catfish, barramundi and then barracuda. Now she is nearly at squad level. Well done Kingsley!

I really think that swim centres should have world-wide standardisation with regard to seafood names and swim levels. For example, Dolphin and Kingsley's centre is almost Squad whereas Dolphin at our centre is a basic learning to 'swim on your own' level. And then at another local swim centre, Dolphin is middle of the road. It's all so confusing.

Well done Kingsley!

Is she almost at squad level or almost at squid level???

In the world of seafood swim levels, a vowel makes all the difference!

PS - at our swim school, the levels are numbered 1-12. Soooo much easier for parents to cope with than a system which requires the skill of deciphering a menu at a seafood restuarant

Well done Kinsley! Our kids had 'fishy' levels too, can't recall them though. I do recall when No 3 got promoted 2 levels and ended up above his sister, we never told her - her ego couldn't have handled it. But to her credit she got to squad and stayed there till she had a part time job.
