Mr Marketing Man

Once again there is proof that it is not what you know but who you know! TeamSAK connections saved the day yet again. In actual fact , if truth be known , the problem was partially caused by Mr Mattel Marketing Man ( aka MMMM ie 4M).

When TeamSAK caught up with friends for morning coffee Kingsley and 4M were deeply engrossed in a conversation about an interactive game called Cube World . Kingsley has been saving her $2.50 a week pocket money and was convinced by 4 M that Cube World would be a good investment! The product was readily available in major department stores and good toy stores.

Ahubby reluctantly transported TeamSAK to a suburban shopping centre which housed a large variety department store and an independent toy shop. Neither had it in stock . We then travelled over the river to the Gardens which had another major variety store. After wasting 10 minutes of our complimentary 1 hour park trying to get a car park TeamSAK again encountered another stock supply problem. No luck there either!

S called 4 M and jokingly suggested he could deal with a disappointed 7 y.o. for the remainder of the afternoon! Given the generous person that 4 M is and knowing how easily a child could be crushed with disappointment after such a day of buildup about a quality product, 4 M paid Team SAK a visit at 7pm tonight.

4M came bearing gifts and parted with his own personal set of series 1 cubes called Slim and Scoop. The beauty from the marketing point of view is that there are still plenty more for Kingsley to spend her pocket money on ( if only we could find the stock!) Knowing 4M as we do I am sure all distribution issues will be resolved on Monday!

As it seems that adage about who you know is unfortunately true it is very lucky that I have connections like Ronnie, Myutopia, Fairlie, M , Big M, WStar, Elle and the collection of doctors, lawyers, sportsmen, ex prime ministers, philanthropists, teachers, aboriginal art specialists, landscape gardeners, Lastpiece toy retailers, 2XU founders, CBD bike shop owners, fashion designers, Mr Marketing Men, former TV presenters etc that I am honoured to have as friends!

Those cubes look pretty cool - do you think if I stacked them next to the cleaning products box, the stickmen would take a wander and give the cleaning a burl? They've got to be useful for something?
