Anyone with a love of wheels, lycra and works in the city would have spent many a lunchtime drooling over the bling in the best all purpose bike stores in town : CBD Cycles. This is a blatant plug as the service we have received from Ant and his team over the last 8 years or so has been exceptional.
Ahubby's addiction to Giant and Cervelo has now extended to Kingsley. She understands more about carbon wheels, groupsets, aerodynamics, disk wheels and professional image than her peers. Her Giant Lil Pud pictured above is nearly outgrown and she is eyeing off its upgrade pictured below. Just not sure it comes with training wheels!

Maybe S should go with the old adage that if you can't beat them join them. Plenty of new stock in store now to drool over.
I have it on good authority that CBD Cycles do a nice line in lycra bike shorts.
Don't worry about the training wheels.
For the girls: What about the basket out front, dolls seat at back, flag (standard bright orange), streamers out of the handle bar and a couple of spokey dokey's in the wheels.
And for the boys: You can't go past the "borrowed" milk crate on the front with the pack rack out back and a couple of tennis balls stuck in the wheels.
Whatever happened to the plain old red Malvern Star?
Whatever happened to learning how to ride it in the carpark opposite Grandma's?
Whatever happened to not wearing a helmet?
Whatever happened to S's new bike?
Oh - I know. It still has the wrapping paper on it. But then again so does the sewing machine.
Well, you can't expect Kingsley to compete in the Junior Iron Man (person)in Hawaii this year with a BASKET and DOLL SEAT on her bike.
I can really understand the preoccupation with bikes in the family. My husband is gathering a real bevy of bikes- although none to be as envied of course as much as Kingsley's! Next she'll be riding in the Tour de Toorak. Let's hope that when she does she is outfitted with only the best lycra from Antony's!!!!!!
