Midnight Reader

Kingsley, who is an avid reader, had a dream outing yesterday. Of course she has been to the local council library on many occasions but yesterday was a historic moment. Kingsley got her own borrowing card and will no longer take out books under mine!
Just to make sure the borrowing powers were real Kingsley came home with 7 books, a DVD and an audio book of Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire. All items are due back 1 August and knowing Kingsley they will all be finished.
Ahubby and I have agreed Kingsley can listen to one of the 18 CDs each night with lights out. We have lost track of the number of nights we have checked Kingsley and found hidden torches and books under the bedding. This way the CD will automatically finish just in time for sleep. No more hidden books!

Good luck with the 1 CD per night... Exhibit A: KelpieBlossom 24 CDs in 128 hours.

Just think how lovely and quiet it will be at home...

Does one's own borrowing card come with the obligation to pay one's own late fines??

Or does the term "late fines" not exist in the TeamSAK vocabulary?

Kingsley will be responsible for her own late fees ( which is part of her life education lesson out of all this). However, I suspect that like her mother she has the "thing" about punctuality and late fees will never be an issue.

If Kingsley takes after S there won't ever be any late fees due as they are not good value for money.
